Cookies and storage

This page explains what Parcel Progress stores in your browser.

Cookies

Parcel Progress sets one cookie of its own, NEXT_LOCALE. It stores the language you chose (German or English) for one year, so the site opens in that language next time. It sets no advertising or tracking cookies and no cookies of other providers. The usage measurement is cookieless and stores nothing in your browser.

What is kept in your browser

The website keeps these entries in your browser's local storage:

  • parcel-progress-session: a random session ID. After a successful lookup, it keeps the parcel unlocked in this browser for 30 days after your latest successful lookup, so you do not have to enter the postcode again. It contains no information about you.
  • theme: the appearance you chose in the header (light, dark or system). It is stored only once you make a choice.

The entries stay in your browser until you delete them. The privacy policy describes the processing in full.

How to delete them

Delete the site data for parcelprogress.com in your browser's settings, usually found under privacy, "cookies and site data" or "website data". Deleting it locks every parcel you unlocked in this browser. You can unlock a parcel again with its tracking code and postcode.
